An eight-year-old boy was burned while helping his father in Kurdamir.

The incident was reported to have taken place on May 19 this year in the village of Gojaly.
“My eight-year-old son, Abulfaz Ibrahimli, suffered severe burns while helping his father earn money.
He then handed the container of petrol to his father and did not notice that the liquid had spilled on him. When his father finished with the straw, he used a match. At that moment, Abulfaz’s clothes caught fire.
We were treated in one of the hospitals in Baku. My son’s condition is very serious. He has become unrecognizable. His father lost his temper during the incident and was unable to put out the burning clothes. With the support of wealthy people, Abulfaz was examined in one of the private clinics. My son cannot open his arm after the fire. It must be opened by surgery. The surgical intervention will cost 1,800 manats. Although we have collected 900 manats of this amount, our 900 manats are still not enough. I beg my people not to leave us alone in these difficult times.”
