THE local police Algeciras (Cádiz) stopped a 38 year old man of Moroccan nationality to attack punches and kicks to several law enforcement officers who were summoned to a nightlife venue because the individual was harass a group of women recording them with his cell phone.
According to the Algeciras Town Hall, the event took place in a pub located in the Trafalgar Street. An employee at the premises called the police when she noticed the man was making her feel uncomfortable and disturb several customers. When they criticized him for his behavior and asked him to stop recording women with his phone, he launched into threaten the worker with a bottle. A group of customers were forced to intervene to prevent greater harm.
Shortly after, a police patrol from the Security and Citizen Coexistence Unit (USEC) arrived at the scene. Officers found the man outside the establishment, visibly upset, saying screams and threats to those present. Local police urged him to calm down, but to no avail: the man He confronted the officialspunching one in the face and kicking another in the leg.
It was then that the officers proceeded to subdue the attacker. They did this using “the minimum force necessary”, underlines the Town Hall, even if the individual put up “great resistance” and, during his arrest, he continued to throw kicks and punches to the police.
The detainee, domiciled in Malagawas transferred first to a health center for evaluation, then to the police station of the National Police Corps of Algeciras to take the appropriate steps.
