For the first time in the world, Russian scientists have connected the brain of a mouse to artificial intelligence. He was able to answer any question correctly.
Oku.AzAccording to RIA Novosti, this was reported by the “Neiry” biotechnology laboratory.
It was reported that the first results of the unique experiment are ready.
“For the first time in the world, scientists and developers have connected the brain of a mouse to artificial intelligence. The mouse can answer any question using the keyboard,” says the laboratory.
Scientists have connected the brain of a laboratory mouse named “Pythia” to a neurointerface. The device is powered by artificial intelligence that uses electrical stimulation of the brain to suggest the correct answers. Electrodes connected to the neurointerface can stimulate certain parts of the rodent’s brain. During a “yes” response, specific sensations arose at one location on the test object and at another location during a “no” response. For each correct answer, the mouse received a reward.
Thanks to connected artificial intelligence, the mouse was able to answer questions about quasars, myelin sheaths, the Python programming language and even guessed Albert Einstein’s date of birth. The researchers highlight that in the near future it will be possible to implant this type of neurointerfaces in humans, which will open up truly unlimited possibilities for human intelligence.
The laboratory project on the development of an invasive neurointerface is called “Artificial Intuition.”
