Last Thursday, September 19, we became aware of a press release from the Communication sector of the Judiciary with the following striking title: “The Supreme Court authorizes the parents of a child born by surrogacy to change the place of birth in the civil registry. by the family home. Until now, the change of place of birth was only provided for cases of international adoptions.”
I managed to read the judgment, although I have not yet found it published in the documentary collection of the CGPJ website – I found it in another space -, but, so that anyone interested can access it when it is published, it is the Judgment of the Civil Chamber – 1st Chamber – No. 1141/2024, of September 17, 2024.
