One of the biggest advantages of traveling in a campervan is the flexibility it offers. It differs from classic trips in which you have to stick to to flight schedules or hotel reservations. This way, travelers have the freedom to decide when they want to go or be somewhere.

The project is promoted by the company Llansola Motorhome and will have a capacity of approximately 35 vehicleswith water filling and emptying services, as well as security systems, all to attract tourists interested in staying in the city of Castellón.
With this investment of nine hundred thousand euros, 94 places will be created for motorhomes up to 8 meters long. In summer, the places will become 188 free spaces for private cars.
Similarly, a series of areas will be built for the evacuation of grey and black water, as well as recreational areas with benches and picnic tables, self-cleaning toilet modules, as well as exit and entry systems with automatic barriers.
These services will be in addition to those available in the parking lot. Pinar Beach, which has 47 places.
The car parks are equipped with Wi-Fi, water and 24-hour customer support. Of course, caravans and double-axle vehicles are prohibited in these areas and camping is also prohibited.
A works concession contract
The fact is that both the management and the operation of these spaces are the subject of a contract of concession for 20 years and whose value, excluding VAT, is estimated at approximately four and a half million euros. The deadline for submitting bids for the said contract will be open until August 28.
The feasibility study carried out in the economic and financial section indicates that these spaces and their concession will only generate profits after twelve years.
The initial investment will be amortized after the first decade and in the twelfth year there will be net profits of 85,000 euros.
At that time, income will amount to just over two hundred and fifty-four thousand euros and expenses to one hundred and forty-one thousand euros.
At the end of the concession period, in the twentieth year, revenues will be projected at just over three hundred and nine thousand euros and expenses at one hundred and sixty-six thousand euros, so that there will be a net profit of more than one hundred and seven thousand euros.
The project is expected to represent significant growth
The study predicts that the two parking areas will reach maturity in terms of occupancy at different times, in the area adjacent to the planetarium in year 11 and in the area adjacent to the flying club in year 15.
If we talk about the second year of operation, the Ferrandis car park will generate more than one hundred thousand euros of incomedespite the fact that the expenditure for the initial investment will be more than double.
Overall, the strong growth of motorhome tourism in Castellón is a reflection of the great upward trend that the province is experiencing, which has happened thanks to the significant commitment of the municipalities to attract this type of tourist.
By improving and expanding these services, it is hoped that Castellón will become a very attractive destination for motorhome enthusiasts.

The pandemic has been a form of indirect recovery in our country for this type of tourism which has greater communion with nature and it looks like this will continue to be the case in the future.
It is expected that in more regions of our geography, greater allocations will continue to be implemented for this type of tourism, which is growing progressively and at a good pace in our territory, year after year.
