The management of “Formula 1” has confirmed that it has reached an agreement in principle with “General Motors” and its brand “Cadillac” to participate in the 2026 championship.

A statement issued by “Formula-1” states that bringing a big American brand like “GM/Cadillac” to the championship and GM’s performance as a power unit manufacturer in the future can add value and interest to the sport.
“We applaud the management of General Motors and its partners for making significant progress in preparing for participation in Formula 1. We are delighted to be able to continue the bidding process for the Cadillac team in 2026,” F1 said.
