A one-year suspended sentence is being demanded against the current leader and his predecessor

The sleet fell on them for a good fifteen minutes. A shower of harsh words that left them mortified. in front of the 15my In the correctional chamber of the Bobigny court, seven officials and former leaders of the National Agro-Food and Forestry Federation (FNAF) of the CGT are vehemently apostrophized by the lawyer of the civil party. This Friday, September 20 – the second and last day of the trial – Mmy Cédric Alpée describes the defendants as “family clan” within which “the father, the son, the daughter-in-law” arrange to serve “their interests”.

He accuses them of being at the origin of “Mafia abuses” and have “reliable” the command of your organization because “the soup was good”In the courtroom, which was well attended by the accused’s colleagues, including Philippe Martinez – number one of the CGT until March 2023 -, witnessed the punishment, containing the anger aroused by the spectacle.

This very aggressive accusation is directed in particular at Alfred Huck and his son Julien. The former was secretary general of the FNAF for more than twenty years, the latter now takes on this role. They will be tried at the same time as five other people who exercise or have exercised responsibilities within the federation. Among them, Jocelyne Hacquemand, Alfred Huck’s wife, and Diane Grandchamp, Julien’s partner. The accused are being prosecuted for breach of trust or receipt of stolen property; two of them are also accused of money laundering. An embarrassing story for the CGT, which would probably rekindle suspicions about the opacity of the funds managed by the social actors, even if this type of controversy tended, little by little, to die out.

It all started with a letter sent in June 2018 to the Bobigny prosecutor’s office by Johnny Neto. A member of one of the highest authorities of the FNAF, he points out practices that, as he writes, conflict with his “Militant conception of class unionism”. The letter states, among other things, that the leaders or former leaders of the organization benefit from unfounded financial generosity. It also highlights the coexistence of associations around the FNAF that allow “get the money moving” in a non-transparent manner. Neto says that he had been fired a few weeks earlier from his position as an employee of the federation because, according to him, the Hucks and their inner circle were fed up with his embarrassing comments about the practices in question. He became a civil party.
