A passenger bus left the road and overturned in the Serra da Barriga, eastern Brazil.

According to witnesses, the bus broke down and the driver lost control. About 30 people were injured and 17 passengers died as a result of the incident. Among the injured are children and adolescents.
Firefighters sent three vehicles and a helicopter to rescue the injured.
