This beech forest is perfect for an itinerary in the Basque Country
He Otzarreta beech forest It’s a magical place. It is a unique space located in the Gorbéa Natural Park on the Biscay slope. It is made up of century-old beech trees and the bed of the river river Zubizabala.
In autumn, it is part of a visual spectacle that will leave you speechless. It is one of the most famous areas of the entire park. You can make a journey with the whole family from the Haut Barazar car park in Zeanuri where you can park your vehicle.
The path is very easy to follow and It is recommended to do it with children. The path is endless and in about 1.5 hours you will reach this beech forest. If you don’t want to walk, you can also drive to another parking lot next to this beech forest.
