Violent night on Nelson Mandela Square, in the Madrid district of Lavapiés. Here, a young man was arrested after hitting another in the face with a bottle, as reported by sources from the National Police of Madrid.
The events occurred around 4:20 a.m. this Wednesday. As the aforementioned sources report, agents were alerted because a man threatened another in the middle of the street. When police arrived, they found a young man bleeding and, next to him, a man being held by pedestrians who had a broken bottle in his hand.
The injured man said that, without saying a word, he was attacked by the arrested man and that he caused injuries to the face and backso he was transferred to the clinical hospital. After arresting the attacker, he began to have a violent attitude towards the officers. Madrid emergency sources report that the victim presented bruises and a facial injury, but was transferred in light condition.
The National Police opened an investigation to clarify these facts, but reported that Does not appear to be linked to youth gangs. The detainee is a 27-year-old Moroccan, while the victim is a 20-year-old young man of the same nationality.
Fight at Valdebernardo
This is not the only fight with arrests recorded in Madrid in recent hours. National Police officers arrested three people on Monday night after a massive fight between several officers and the neighbors of the Valdebernardo district, according to sources from the aforementioned police.
