A phone with Trump, Putin refuses to put an end to the Russian-Yugovaya War

Moscow – President Russia Vladimir Putin called with US President Donald Trump on Thursday. During the phone, Putin still abandoned the pressure in order to put an end to his war against Ukraine Until the goal has been achieved.

The Kremlin said that the phone call lasted almost an hour when Putin insisted that he be determined to realize the goal of Russia in the war against Ukraine.

“Our president said that Russia will achieve the goal that he set, namely, the elimination of the root of the cause that causes the current situation,” said the Kremlin assistant Yuri Ushakov to journalists, which was reported AFPFriday (7/7/2025).

“Russia will not give up this goal,” he said again.

Moscow has long describes its maximum goal in Ukraine as an attempt to get rid of the “root of the cause” of the conflict, demanding that Kyiv release its ambitions to join NATO.

Meanwhile, Trump admitted that he did not achieve progress with Putin in the end of the war with Russian Ukraine. According to him, Kremlin insisted that Putin would hold on to his goal in the war.

The gloomy assessment of Trump began when peaceful negotiations led by the United States, in order to put an end to the conflict that lasted more than three years in Ukraine, stopped, and after Washington stopped part of the delivery of weapons to Kyiv.
