Cantabria has a novelty in the 2025 work calendar: next year it will be recovered as a public holiday Institutions DayJuly 28, as a regional holiday, replacing October 12, which next year falls on a Sunday and will not be moved to Monday, according to the government of Cantabria (unlike other communities, such as Extremadura, Castile and Leon either Andalusia).

So the community will have a total of 12 compulsory public holidays in 2025, including eight are national holidays and four are regional.

How Easter falls

In this way, Easter week There will be two public holidays: April 17, Maundy Thursday (Thursday), and April 18, Good Friday (Friday). The next holidays will be May 1stthe first day of the month. In total, Cantabria will have five long weekends in 2025, two public holidays on Thursdays and an Easter with four days off in a row.

The last holidays of 2024

Before the arrival of the New Year, the community has four holidays on the calendar: October 12, November 1, December 6 and December 25. The first falls on Saturday, the second on Friday, the third on Friday and the last on Tuesday.
