An earthquake measuring 54 kilometres deep was recorded in Bilasuvar.
The short-lived aftershocks had a magnitude of 4.5.
Residents of Bilasuvar spoke to Baku TV about the moment of the earthquake.
“When I was working, my feet kept moving away. The chandelier was also moving. The earthquake lasted about a minute,” said resident Adalat Mayilov.
The statement issued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Emergency Situations Commission of the Bilasuvar District Executive Branch said there was no information about destruction or human injuries as a result of the earthquake.
