In the Chelyabinsk region, a local resident has been detained in the case of public denunciations of terrorist activities, the press service of the regional department of the FSB of Russia reported.
According to the department, during a series of operational search activities it was established that the man had posted on the Internet texts containing calls for terrorist activities and attacks on the lives of government officials.
“The FSB investigative body has opened a criminal case against the detainee under paragraph 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for terrorist activities committed using information and telecommunication networks),” – the FSB reported.
Investigative actions are currently underway to consolidate the evidence base and establish and document other possible facts of his illegal activities.
