The popular Russian blogger Nikolai Sobolev 4 or 5 years ago earned several million rubles a month thanks to his videos on the YouTube platform. He told it to the Macarena project on the same video hosting site.
“In 2017-2018 a very large amount of money fell on me” – Sobolev admitted.
He clarified that he earned 3 million rubles a month and was extremely focused on creating content.
Sobolev did not mention the amount of current income, but noted that making money from political videos is extremely problematic.
It should be noted that currently 4.97 million people have subscribed to Sobolev’s YouTube channel.
Last March, in an interview with a journalist and television presenter Ksenia Sobchak Sobolev said that by the standards of millionaire bloggers, he has a very small income – between 1 and 1.5 million rubles a month.
As reported EADailyIn February 2023, the Ministry of Justice included Sobolev in the register of foreign agents. He said he would appeal this decision and also intended to remain in Russia as it tied his future to this country.
As a result, in March of this year, Sobolev managed to be excluded from the register of foreign agents. The Ministry of Justice indicated that this occurred “due to the loss of signals from a foreign agent.”
