JAKARTA – Former Minister of Trade, Thomas Trikasih Lembang or Tom Lembang accused the state prosecutor (prosecutor) of trying to turn the rule of law in case of alleged corruption in the import of sugar sugar that was attributed to him.
The application was made by Tom after reading the replica of the prosecutor about his pleasure at the hearing in the corruption court of Jakarta, on Friday, July 11, 2025.
He hinted that the prosecutor actually dug a deeper hole instead of getting out of the legal errors that were made.
“If it falls into the hole, the first step is to stop digging. But the prosecutor continues to dig in his copy, deeper, and not go out, ”Tom said.
To describe his argument, Tom compared it with the lighter, but was criminalized using the prohibition rules, transporting lighters on the plane.
“The rules are prohibited by lighters, but I was processed because I brought easier. I said that it was easier, but the prosecutor was still insisting, because what was forbidden to correspond. So this was not entirely connected, ”he added.
