The 28 m² slaughterhouse located on the first floor of the “Elmed” medical center in Binagadi district was closed.
According to “Gaynarinfo”, the director and legal representative of the clinic, Ramin Guliyev, leased said 28 m² non-residential area to a person named Ali to use it as a slaughterhouse.
Ali spent 20,000 manats on major repairs at that slaughterhouse. After a while, Ramin Guliyev asked Ali to leave that area. Ali told the clinic director that he would not leave the area without paying the 20,000 manat costs.
Finally, Ramin Guliyev appealed to the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA). Employees of AQTA’s Baku regional department inspected the butcher shop and found that Ali was involved in illegal meat slaughter. In this sense, the activities of the accused have been prohibited.
Taking advantage of this AQTA decision, Ramin Guliyev appealed to the court.
He claimed that 40 m2 of the 1,338.7 m2 non-residential area he owned were illegally occupied by Ali. In April this year, AQTA carried out an inspection and Ali was found to be involved in illegal meat slaughter there. Although he repeatedly requested to vacate the area, the defendant ignored him and did not leave the area. Therefore, their property rights and business interests were seriously violated.
Ali did not accept Ramin Guliyev’s claim to the court. Thus, he said that he spent 20,000 manats to repair that place. The plaintiff stated that he would leave the area if he paid him 20,000 manat, otherwise he would file a lawsuit.
The court accepted the lawsuit of Ramin Guliyev, legal representative of the “Elmed” Medical Center, against the butcher and decided to evict the defendant from the non-residential area.
It should be noted that the “Elmed” medical center in the Binagadi district belongs to Mahmud Guliyev, former chief executive of the Jabrayil district. The director of the clinic is his nephew Ramin Guliyev.
