Today, October 3, a special Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered 33 tons of humanitarian aid to Beirut and on the return flight picked up 60 Russians, relatives of diplomatic workers serving in Lebanon.
Russia’s humanitarian aid includes food, medicine, basic necessities and 80 kW power plants.
The evacuation of families of diplomatic workers is carried out in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and on behalf of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexandra Kurenkova. Children and women, including late pregnant women, will be accompanied on the flight by psychologists and doctors from the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Today the plane will arrive in Moscow.
