Dmitry Kuznetsov, a deputy of the Russian State Duma, took the initiative to make changes to Russia’s family legislation. According to the parliamentarian’s proposal, children over 8 years old should be given to their father in the event of a divorce.
Oku.AzAs reported by “The Economist” in reference to the “Telegram” channel, Kuznetsov described this innovation in accordance with Russian traditions and said that previously children were handed over to the care of their father to continue their education.
“Children must be educated by men,” the deputy stressed.
The parliamentarian added that innovation will help solve the problem of divorce and non-payment of alimony.
