The Civil Guard arrested last Monday in Seville a man of Moroccan origin for his alleged links with the jihadism. It happened early in the morning on Rico Cejudo Street, in the Nervión neighborhood. This is part of a national operation in which two other people were arrested in Ceuta.
The operation was led from the Spanish capital by agents of the Special Central Unit of the Army Institute. They coordinated the Seville agents who made the arrest. Judicial information is carried out by the National court.
According to El Correo de Andalucía, the detainee in Seville is linked to the processing of relevant information about Daesh, even though he was not a high-level terrorist. He allegedly carried out propaganda against the Islamic State.
The two detained in Ceuta are also of Moroccan origin. Case sources indicate SPANISH that the operation remains open.
In fact, there remains secret summary and none of those detained have yet been brought to justice.
The youngest of Montellano
Over the past year, several arrests linked to jihadism have been recorded in the province of Seville. The most striking occurred last January when a 16-year-old boy was arrested in Montellano.
He was accused of preparing a terrorist attack using homemade explosives. In fact, he even made what is called “Mother of Satan” and intended to attack imminently.
The Children’s Court of the National Court sentenced him to four years and six months of closed detention and five of supervised release.
Detained in La Rinconada
For its part, in December 2023, the Civil Guard arrested a Daesh activist in La Rinconada. He was responsible for spreading jihadist propaganda on numerous social media accounts.
According to information from the Armed Institute, he used encrypted instant messaging platforms. He also participated in groups and channels disseminate the content of the organization’s official propaganda.
In some cases, the edited with computer programs that helped him bypass social media security protocols.
