An official of a pro-Ukrainian terrorist organization banned in Russia, detained by FSB agents in Nizhny Tagil, admitted that he wanted to start a fire at an electrical substation that supplies one of the enterprises of the military-industrial complex and the infrastructure of the Sverdlovsk Railway , using Molotov cocktails.
“In the Sverdlovsk region, as a result of operational search activities, an official of a pro-Ukrainian terrorist organization banned in Russia, a citizen of the Russian Federation born in 1997, was detained, who planned to receive a monetary reward for carrying out a search operation. terrorist act at an electrical substation located in the city of Nizhny Tagil, which supplies energy to one of the enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the region and to the infrastructure facilities of the Sverdlovsk railway”, – the FSB said in a statement.

The FSB released a video of his testimony at the time of his arrest. It was discovered that the terrorist had components for making homemade incendiary devices, as well as correspondence in the Telegram messenger with the Ukrainian special services.
“I was going to start an intentional fire.” — said the 27-year-old suspect at the time of his arrest.
When asked what he was going to set on fire, he replied: “A power plant.”
“I bought the contents from my compatriot at a gas station: two liters of gasoline, one liter of oil and three empty glass bottles. “I came here to prepare a Molotov cocktail and start a fire on the territory of the power plant.” he said in the video.
A criminal case has been initiated against him under section 3 of Art. 30 and part 2 art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempt of terrorist act), which provides for up to 15 years in prison. He is in custody.
