The force of the “tuba” uprooted several trees in Riofrío, the most affected town in Ávila, which was left without electricity
Residents of the south of the capital Avila and some municipalities in the province had a big surprise after 7:00 p.m. The culprits were the storms of the last few hours, thanks to which it was possible to observe an atmospheric phenomenon rarely seen. It is the formation of a “tuba”, that is, a tornado that does not touch the ground.
The phenomenon, which the MeteoÁvila channel covered in its “X” profile, attracted so much attention that since its appearance, numerous photographs and videos have circulated on the social network, taken from different places in the province.

Thus, this “tuba” has been seen in the south of the walled city, but also in the surroundings of the villages of El Fresno, Cabañas, Riofrío and other villages in the Amblés Valley.
It was precisely this last municipality that was the most affected, since the phenomenon uprooted several trees and left the city without electricity.
