This Thursday the closing of the Basic police course from the Navarre School of Security and Emergencies (ESEN) that they had overcome a total of 42 agents, 32 men and 10 women. These will join the municipal police forces of Pamplona, Valle de Egüés, Barañáin, Corella, Villafranca, Cascante, Tudela and Burlada.
New agents have started their training end of March 2024 in areas such as citizen security; traffic, road safety and transport; judicial and police investigation work; gender equality and personal defense, among others. After completing the course, they will return to their work in the coming days.
The event was chaired by the Director General of Interior of the regional government, Salvador Diezaccompanied by the director of the School, Ana Sánchez, and the course tutors, Luis Galilea and Alberto Rodrigo.
When the event closes, the Director General of the InteriorSalvador Díez, congratulated the agents for achieving the goal and highlighted the commitment of the Government of Navarra with “all police forces that operate in our Community”, as well as “common work in the service of citizens, which is the common final objective”. Likewise, in this sense, he highlighted that security is one of the public services most valued by Navarrese people.
For her part, the director of ESEN, Ana Sanchezreminded the agents of the “vocation of public service, proximity, empathy, justice and respect” as some of the values which must accompany them in the exercise of their work. Likewise, he thanked and congratulated them for their “efforts and for never giving up during the process.”
995 HOURS OF COURSES DISTRIBUTED INTO 8 MODULES
The course included 995 hours of teaching, 488 practical and 507 theoretical, divided into eight modules. The courses were given, in addition to ESEN, in the premises of the Pamplona Municipal Police and other local policeas well as in other centers in Navarra. The practical hours, for their part, were carried out in the places of destination of municipal agents.
During the training which began on March 22, the students They covered community policing and assistance modules; Mission and police functions; Prevention and protection; Police intervention; Legal and police investigations, and police knowledge and skills. There is a final block, Attitude, which evaluates this ability of agents in class.
Each module consists of several subjects. Among others, worked on gender equalityattention to diversity, professional ethics and professional conduct, citizen security, traffic, road safety and transport, personal defense of the police, judicial and investigative police, to new technologies in the police function and to the drafting of documents and police reports, as reported by the regional government. .
