On September 23, a tree planting action took place in the “Youth” park in the Khatai district of Baku.
AZERTAC reports that the president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban AliyevaVice President of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and family attended the event.
1,000 Eldar pines were planted at the event attended by the Public Trade Union “Regional Development” of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and volunteers from COP29.
It should be noted that the “Youth” park was built on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. In addition to green paths, entertainment and recreation areas with an area of 43 hectares have been created in the park.
It should be recalled that on November 11, 2019, during the new construction of the “Youth” park, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Public Union “Regional Development” “United for Nature, United for Life!” took part in the tree planting action within the project. The Head of State gave relevant instructions on the improvement works in this once neglected area.
The Youth Park, which was put into operation on August 26, 2021, is not only a comfortable place for people to relax, but also contributes to the ecological environment of the capital.
It should also be noted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, headed by First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, pays special attention to projects implemented at the state level to improve the environmental situation in Azerbaijan. The fund implements various projects for the establishment of new green areas and the protection of existing green areas in our country. The recent tree-planting action in the “Youth” park was another contribution to the ecological balance.
