A video from Vienna is going viral on European social media, where an 86-year-old local woman says it’s time to learn Russian again.
In Austria’s capital, a local video blogger asked a random passerby what languages he spoke besides German. An elderly lady, 86 years old, said she knows Russian.
“I learned Russian a long time ago, but then I forgot it. We lived in the Russian region. We studied Russian there.”
The blogger was delighted and asked him to say a few words in Russian. The woman said, “Thank you,” and then, “Hello.”
The Telegram channel “Mriya-2025” clarifies that in a conversation a Vienna resident recommended that all German-speaking compatriots relearn Russian.
