Latif Jafarov, a well-known farmer with extensive experience in cotton cultivation in Azerbaijan, has died.
His relatives reported this to Ekonomiyyat.az.
It was reported that cotton producer L. Jafarov, who received the “Progress” medal, died today at the age of 88.
It should be noted that Latif Khanhuseyn oglu Jafarov was born on September 9, 1936 in the village of Yukhari Jurali of Bilasuvar district. In 1955, he graduated from the Salyan District Agricultural School.
Since 1956 he began to work as an agronomist and entomologist on the “Azerbaijan” collective farm in the Bilasuvar region. In 1974, he was awarded a “GAZ-24” car by national leader Heydar Aliyev for his great achievements in cotton picking. He was awarded the order “Red Banner of Labor”, the order “Labor Veteran”, the order “Laborist” and other medals.
He is also the president of Azerbaijan in 2017. Ilham Aliyev received the “Progress” medal for
L. Jafarov has been a member of the Council of Farmers of the Republic since 2017. He worked as a cotton grower from 1996 until his death.
He has 10 children, 31 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
