A person was hit by a high-speed train travelling in the Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgait direction.
Oku.az reports that this was reported by CJSC “Azerbaijan Railways”.
It was reported that at 19:18 today a high-speed train travelling in the Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgait direction hit a woman who suddenly stepped onto the train tracks while travelling in the Zabrat area.
Although the driver made an emergency stop, the accident was unavoidable due to the short distance:
“Unfortunately, we have noted that despite the fact that the station employees immediately called an emergency medical team to the scene, the person died from the serious injuries he received. ADY expresses its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and once again calls on people to “cross railway lines only in the specified place and urges people to cross pedestrian crossings and refrain from actions that endanger their lives. It is the duty of every citizen to comply with the rules, and violating them creates administrative liability.”
