The former Minister of Development and former number 3 of the PSOE, Jose Luis Abalospresented the allegations that the PSOE demanded to be readmitted as a member of the Socialist Party. In the eyes of the now deputy of the Mixed Group, the file opened by his party has already expired, the faults with which he is accused do not exist and an alleged “defenselessness” has occurred.
The former organizing secretary of the PSOE sent his party the allegations against his exclusion from the party in a document sent on October 7. The former socialist representative claimed that there was an “expiration of the file” by which he was excluded from the party. But he also says they asked him to drop his case within 24 hours starting Feb. 26, but didn’t send him the case until a week later. Despite this, he claims that they asked him to obey, another PSOE accusation against José Luis Ábalos that the deputy denies for not having received the document on time. He therefore rejects “having obstructed the work and decisions of the party organs” and also denies “having acted against an agreement adopted without having reliable knowledge of it”.
Discovered “through the media”
On the other hand, he claims not to have abandoned “the public service without the prior authorization of the competent body”. And although he ceased to sit on the socialist bench without being informed of his exclusion from the party, he claims that he was already popular voice. “According to all media reports, the decision had already been made by the party.”
José Luis Ábalos deplores that his party sent him to the Mixed Group, generating “great helplessness”. All this, according to the former minister, “without even having been informed of the opening of the file, and without having reliable and exact knowledge of all its contents”. It is for this reason that he claims to have been “forced” to “request entry into the mixed group while waiting for the file to be communicated”.
For all these reasons, he asked the Federal Executive Commission to “proceed with the archiving of this procedure due to its expiration” and, otherwise, due to “the non-existence of any of the errors included” in its statutes and regulations. And, finally, he asks to be restored to “all his rights as a deputy and public function”.
