Vox has made a relevant change in its management of the Community of Madrid. Rocío Monasterio was removed from his position as provincial president and the current national spokesperson, José Antonio Fúster, was appointed in his place, as confirmed by this political party in a statement.
Fúster, who now combines his position as national spokesperson of Vox with his status as provincial president of the party in Madrid, accepted the task of secretary general of the party, aware of the challenge and with the commitment of permanent service in all positions , members and supporters of Vox from all over Madrid, according to this political formation.
Vox explains that Rocío Monasterio will continue to be the spokesperson for the parliamentary group in the Madrid Assembly. Thus, “and after more than eight years of dedication to the province for which the party thanked him, he will remain devoted exclusively to the political activity of the Assembly.”
“As president of Vox Madrid, Monasterio carried out the territorial implementation of the training throughout the territory of the province, becoming the only political force that, in the last municipal elections, presented its candidacy in one hundred percent municipalities,” explains Vox in the press release. which was made public this afternoon.
Precisely, Fúster has just acquired a new importance within his party, being appointed spokesperson for the commission of inquiry created in the Madrid Assembly to study the alleged favorable treatment of the Complutense University to the wife of the President of the Government, Begoña Gómez. .
Fúster will be accompanied by Ana Cuartero and Íñigo Henríquez de Luna in the “Begoña Commission” and will try to maintain a leading role for Vox in this parliamentary body, where the PP has cornered his party, which will only have the possibility of requesting an appearance during all works.
