Vox president Santiago Abascal has postponed his meeting with Venezuelan opposition leader Edmundo González, who is exiled in Spain, due to illness. Sources from the right-wing party say the postponement comes due to a viral photo which, even if it is not serious, forces you to cancel your schedule.

The meeting between the two political leaders was scheduled for this Wednesday at the Congress of DeputiesThe Vox leader already had a conversation last Friday with the Venezuelan opponent, recognized by both the Congress and the Senate, as well as by the European Parliament, as the winner of the elections of July 28 and, therefore, as the elected president of Venezuela. Both then arranged to meet again this Wednesday.

In mid-September, Edmundo González began a series of meetings with the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, former Presidents Felipe González, José María Aznar and Mariano Rajoy and the leader of the opposition, Alberto Núñez Feijóo. José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero was the only former head of the Executive who did not meet with the exiled politician.

The last meeting was with the president of the PP, in which Feijóo conveyed the support of the Popular Party for the cause of the opposition in Venezuela.I am totally committed“politically and morally, with the Venezuelan people. Always with the democrats,” the Galician said in a brief message on social networks.
