THE investment The total amount amounts to 39,000 euros, entirely financed by the City Hall’s own resources and has not received any subsidy from the Department of Education of the Government of Navarre.
In this sense, the project was financed with the balances generated during the previous year, which demonstrates the good management of the municipal funds by the council. The work was carried out almost entirely during the summer months to avoid any interference in course development, ensure that the 2024-2025 school year takes place normally and in better conditions.
Iranzu Torres, Councilor for Education, Equality, Communication and Citizen Participation, highlighted the importance of this work for energy savings and student comfort: “With the installation of these new high thermal performance windows, not only will the school’s energy consumption be reduced, but it will also ensure a more comfortable environment in the classrooms. This is essential for improving student concentration, especially during cold or hot months.
In fact, according to studies on energy efficiencyImproving the insulation of buildings can generate a reduction of up to 30% in energy consumption, which not only involves significant economic savings in the long term for municipal accounts and therefore for the inhabitants of Ablitas, but also contributes to a reduction in CO2 emissions.
“Thanks to this investment, the Ablitas Town Hall “reaffirms its commitment to education, the well-being of the school community and the responsible management of municipal resources, while reinforcing its commitment to energy savings and respect for the environment,” concluded Torres.
