THE meteorological stability will be the predominant note in most of the country this Sunday, although the rains will continue in the southwest of the peninsula and in the Canary Islands, according to the forecast of the spokesperson for the National Meteorological Agency (AEMET), Rubén del Campo. However, temperatures will become between 5 and 10ºC higher than normal and it can even exceed 25ºC in certain points in the south.
Next week will start with similar weather, with rain in the Canary Islands and a more stable environment in the peninsula. However, on Tuesday it will begin rain in the far north. This will continue to do so in the following days and the precipitation will extend to other areas of the territory, notably the northern half. Temperatures they will go down from Tuesdaybut they will probably rise again later.
Throughout the day, you can present fog banks inside the Peninsula especially at dawn and in the morning. Del Campo says this is generally something typical of stable days at this time of year and that can affect circulationbecause they reduce visibility.
This Sunday, no rain is expected on the peninsula, “if anything four drops in the southwest and in the far north”, according to the spokesperson. However, Yes, it will continue to rain in the Canarieswhere it is not excluded that they are accompanied by a storm and that they reach a high intensity. Temperatures will continue to rise and the atmosphere will be very mild for the moment.
In fact, as I predicted, the values will be between five and ten degrees higher than normal in large areas of the territory and will be around 20ºC in central cities like Salamanca or Toledo. In many cities in the southern half, maximum temperatures will be between 23 and 25 degrees.

Monday, the beginning of next week, will be a calm day with little rain in the peninsula and in the Balearic Islands, although in the Canary Islands it will continue to rain locally abundantly, especially on the more mountainous islands. Mists and fogs will persist in the interior of the peninsula, particularly at dawn and early in the morning. At the same time, the mist will begin to recede.
It will be Tuesday when temperatures begin to drop, Del Campo warns, due to the passage of a front associated with a storm in the Atlantic. Rain is expected in the far north and snowfall in the mountains in this area.
This front will continue to advance on Wednesday and cold air will arrive behind it, which will cause a more pronounced thermal drop and normal temperatures for the season. On this day, rain will extend to other areas of the northern half and the southern mountains, with relatively light snowfall.
Regarding the second part of the week, many uncertainties remain. The most likely, according to Aemet, is that it will continue to rain in the northern regions, as well as in parts of the west of the peninsula, due to the passage of Atlantic fronts. On this occasion, a good part of the Mediterranean area will be left aside, with the possible exception of certain points in northern Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, where there could be some rain.
At the same time, uncertainties remain regarding the possible evolution of temperatures. At present, the most likely scenario is that higher values return to normal for the season from Thursday. Finally, regarding the Canary Islands, Del Campo stressed that precipitation would decrease.
