In the Russian city of St. Petersburg, around 30 people turned to doctors with symptoms of food poisoning at polling stations in the city.
Oku.Az RBC reports with reference to a statement by the Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee for St. Petersburg.
Rospotrebnadzor (the Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Oversight of Human Wellbeing) employees inspected the premises where ready-made meals are produced and delivered to polling stations, and the company’s activities were temporarily suspended.
It should be noted that a criminal case has been opened for the provision of services that did not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers in connection with poisoning that occurred at polling stations in the Admiralteysky and Kirovsky districts of the city.
It should be noted that elections for governor and municipal deputies will be held in St. Petersburg from 6 to 8 September.
