About 300 flights will be canceled in Finland

Finnair canceled around 300 flights on December 9 and 13 due to the pilots’ strike.

Oku.Az TASS reports that the airline reported this in a press release.

“It is disappointing that the Finnish pilots’ union has decided to strike rather than negotiate. Unfortunately, this is disrupting the travel plans of thousands of our customers in the run-up to Christmas,” the company said.

Finnair will reportedly cancel around 140 flights on December 9 and around 150 on December 13.

The strike is related to the expiration of the collective bargaining agreement signed between the union and the carrier on September 30. Negotiations on a new contract have been going on for three months without any progress.
