Nearly 600 Russian citizens are trapped on the crippled Spectrum of The Seas cruise ship off the coast of Japan. To reduce the degree of indignation among tourists who miss their flights to the airport, they were given free alcohol.
The Spectrum of The Seas liner broke down and anchored in the port of Yokohama (the administrative center of Kanagawa Prefecture in the south-central part of the island of Honshu). On November 9, the ship was supposed to arrive in Shanghai, but due to a breakdown it will not arrive on time on the agreed date, which means that most tourists will lose their plane tickets, writes the Baza telegram channel.
As noted, most Russians did not like the fact that representatives of the travel company took their passports to stamp their arrival and departure. Some tourists wanted to fly directly from Tokyo, but due to lack of documents they cannot do so.
According to Baza, to avoid disturbances on the ship, the tourists received two important concessions. Firstly, they made internet access free (it was about $300) and secondly, in some places they reduced the prices a lot and in some places they even made alcohol free.
“Now it won’t be so boring waiting for repairs” – TK concludes.
