A round table was organized in the Green Zone on the eighth day of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku.
Oku.Az reports that the activities needed to achieve clean energy and address climate damage were discussed at the panel “Extending the Benefits of Clean Energy: Community Engagement and Next Generation Workforce Development” hosted by the Sustainable Energy Business Council.
Pedro Pizarro, president and CEO of Edison International, Mark Berry, senior vice president of research and development at Southern Company, and National Grid, a UK-based company that invests in renewable energy and green technologies, delivered a speech at the director panel. , Rhian Kelly and others shared ideas from the public and private sectors to transform the way climate and clean energy solutions are implemented.
Pedro Pizarro emphasized that one of the first requirements for companies that are dedicated to production is to limit carbon dioxide in the production process.
The panel made presentations on practices applied in different communities, the types of technical expertise required, and the benefits of the energy transition.
