The National Meteorological Agency has announced light and scattered rain for today, Monday, in much of the country, although in some areas of the Balearic Islands this precipitation could be heavy.
A situation of post-frontal instability is expected in the north of the peninsula with precipitation, generally low and scattered, affecting the Cantabrian area, the upper Ebro and the north of the Iberian Peninsula and the Pyrenees, without excluding its presence in surrounding areas.
Likewise, locally heavy showers are likely over the western Balearic Islands with a tendency to extend to parts of the southeast of the peninsula and the Andalusian Mediterranean coast late in the day.
Stable weather in the rest of the country with light and abundant morning cloudiness in the northern half of the peninsula and mist retreating from the Canary Islands.
Maximum temperatures will increase in Galicia, with slight drops predominating in the rest, more pronounced in the eastern Cantabrian Sea, around the Iberian Sea, in Alborán and the Canary Islands; Minimums will decrease in Galicia and the Canary Islands, increasing in the east of the Cantabrian Sea and in the southwest of the peninsula; and little change for the rest, with light frosts in the Pyrenees.
Trade winds in the Canaries, and predominance of north and northeast winds in the peninsula and the Balearics, with thunderstorms in the Ebro, and intervals of strong northerly winds with probable very strong gusts in the Empurdán and the Balearics. In the Strait of Alborán the east tends to worsen with the probability of strong intervals at the end, also possible on the coasts of northwest Galicia.

GALICIA: Cloudy tending to slightly cloudy or clear from midday, except in the northeast. Morning mist and fog likely inland, mainly in elevated areas of the southeast. Some light precipitation is not excluded in A Mariña. Minimum temperatures decreasing which will occur at the end of the day and maximum temperatures unchanged or slightly increasing, except in A Mariña where they may decrease slightly. Light to moderate wind from the north and northeast, particularly intense on the northwest coast.
ASTURIAS: Cloudy sky. Mists and fogs likely inland, mainly in the Cordillera. Possibility of some light rain inside. Temperatures falling, milder in case of maximums, with minimums expected at the end of the day. Light wind from the north and northeast, more intense on the coast where it will roll eastward in the afternoon.
CANTABRIA: Cloudy sky. Mists and fogs likely inland, mainly in the Cordillera. Morning rain, generally light, which will ease during the day. Temperatures unchanged or falling slightly, with minimum temperatures expected at the end of the day. North wind, weak inland and weak to moderate on the coast.
BASQUE COUNTRY: Cloudy sky. A few mists or fog banks cannot be excluded in the interior, mainly in the valleys. Morning rains in the west, without excluding the rest of the day, light and occasional throughout the Community. Minimum temperatures rising and maximum temperatures falling, generally low. North wind, weak inland and weak to moderate on the coast.
CASTILLA Y LEÓN: In the northeast and far north cloudy with probability of light precipitation, safer in the mountainous areas of the east, in other intervals cloudy. Scattered mist and fog in the first half of the day. Minimum temperatures increase in the northeast and decrease or remain unchanged in the rest and maximum temperatures decrease slightly. Light northeast winds, increasing in intensity in the afternoon.
NAVARRE: Cloudy or overcast skies in the northern half and cloudy periods in the southern half. A few scattered mists or fog banks are not excluded on the Cantabrian slope, as well as some light and scattered rain. Minimum temperatures are increasing, except in the northern third, where no change is expected, and maximum temperatures are decreasing. North wind, moderate in the southern half and weaker in the rest.
LA RIOJA: Cloudy, with probability of light precipitation in the western half, especially in mountainous areas. Likelihood of mists and fog banks in the Sierra. Minimum temperatures increase and maximum temperatures decrease slightly. Winds from the northwest and north.
ARAGON: Cloudy periods in the Iberian system and the Pyrenees and slightly cloudy skies in the rest. Mists and fog banks in the morning in areas of the Iberian system and south of Huesca. Possibility of light and scattered precipitation at the edge of the Pyrenees, with a snow level around 2000 m. Temperatures slightly dropping or unchanged. Northwest wind, moderate in the Ebro valley and weak in the rest.
CATALONIA: Cloudy skies in the Pyrenees and predominance of slightly cloudy or clear skies in the rest. Mists and fog banks in the morning in the central depression. Low precipitation in the Val d’Aran, with a snow level around 2000 m. Minimum temperatures slightly decreasing and maximum temperatures with little change. Moderate wind from the north in the Ampurdán, with possible very strong gusts in the exposed areas of its northern extremity; Moderate northwesterly wind in the southern half of Tarragona and slight northerly and westerly components in the rest.
EXTREMADURA: Sparsely cloudy. Risk of scattered mists and fog in the first part of the day. Temperatures unchanged. Light winds from the northeast, more intense to the north.
MADRID: A little cloudy, with intervals of light cloudiness accompanied by mists and scattered fog banks in the Sierra at the beginning and end of the day. Minimum temperatures, with slight changes, decrease mainly in the Sierra and increase in the rest. Maximum temperatures with slight changes. Light winds from the north and northeast.
CASTILE – LA MANCHA: Not very cloudy in general, with intervals of light cloudiness accompanied by mists and scattered fog banks in the central and Iberian systems and in La Mancha de Albacete at the beginning and end of the day. Minimum temperatures with slight changes, mainly decreasing in the central system and increasing in the English Channel and the Tagus and Guadiana valleys. Maximum temperatures, with slight changes, decrease mainly in the eastern end and in the mountains north of Ciudad Real and south of Toledo. Light winds from the north and northeast, except in the southeast where they will be light and variable.
VALENCIA COMMUNITY: Lightly cloudy skies, increasing at intervals in the southern half in the afternoon. Probably scattered showers in Alicante during central hours, without excluding them being locally heavy. Temperatures slightly dropping or unchanged. Light northwest wind in Castellón, with occasional increases in intensity in the afternoon in the northern half; Otherwise, light and variable wind, with a predominance of an easterly component in the afternoon.
MURCIA: Lightly cloudy or clear skies, becoming cloudy in the afternoon, with isolated and occasional showers likely. Temperatures falling, locally without changes. Light variable winds, with intervals of an easterly component, sometimes moderate on the coast.
BALEARIC ISLANDS: Cloudy periods. In Ibiza and Formentera, showers which can be locally heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms; for the rest, some occasional and isolated precipitation. Temperatures with little change. Moderate wind from the north and northeast, with strong intervals in Minorca and east of Majorca.
ANDALUSIA: Passages of low clouds on the Mediterranean slope, without excluding occasional showers from the afternoon, more likely towards the east. For the rest, slightly cloudy skies, with daytime cloudiness in the Baetic Mountains, where isolated showers are not excluded in the afternoon. Temperatures falling on the Mediterranean side and with slight changes in other areas. Light easterly winds, increasing to moderately easterly on the Mediterranean coast, with strong intervals in the Strait area.
CANARY ISLANDS: Few clouds or clear, with some cloudy periods on the northern slopes at the end of the day. Light mist over mountainous islands, easing. Moderately falling temperatures, which may be locally notable in the maximum temperatures of northern Gran Canaria and inland areas of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Moderate wind from the northeast.
