Aemet deactivates rain alerts in the Balearic Islands

The National Meteorological Agency (Aemet) reported that as of midday there is no longer an active rain alert on the Balearic Islands.

It should be remembered that the passage of the DANA through Majorca led to the overflow of the Es Domingos Gran torrent in Porto Cristo (Manacor), which imposed the temporary closure of the Ma-4014 road from Cala Murada to Porto Cristo, already reopened.

Traffic also had to be interrupted on the Ma-4100 (old road to Sant Llorenç des Cardassar) between the Eroski supermarket and the Vipsa roundabout.

The Majorca Fire and Emergency Services had to intervene in around twenty incidents, mainly in the areas of Calvià, Manacor and Puigpunyenteven if nothing serious.

This Tuesday’s episode of heavy rain caused flooding on several roads in Ibiza and numerous leaks at the airport on the island of Pitiusa, as well as delays on several flights to Son Sant Joan.
