The State Meteorological Agency announced on Sunday morning that five provinces were still on orange or red alert due to the DANA. At 10 a.m. this Sunday, they lifted several areas of the province of Almería are on red alert due to the danger of torrential rains and possible overflows and flooding of rivers, while Murcia, Castellón, Valencia and Tarragona remain on orange alert.
The forecast of torrential rains in the province of Almería has led AEMET to raise the alert to the maximum level in several areas of Almería. It is for this reason that a message from Civil Protection was sent to the cell phones of thousands of residents of Almeria, recommending them to stay at home and avoid traveling.
On the other hand, others four provinces are on orange alert (major danger). Among them is the Region of Murcia, where heavy rains have already fallen which caused the suspension of several sporting events which were going to take place this Saturday, the province of Valence in the majority of areas already affected this Tuesday by DANA, part of the province of Castellón and Tarragona.
