Eight communities in the interior and the northern half of the peninsula are on yellow alert (risk for certain activities) against rain and storms, in addition to a lot of wind and hail, with accumulations of water that will reach up to 20 liters per square meter in an hour in a large part of the Aragon region, according to forecasts from the National Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
Asturias, Cantabria, Castile, Madrid, the Basque Country and La Rioja are on alert for these storms; Almería (Andalusia) is also on alert, in this case due to storms and waves of up to 3 metres high.
Accumulations will reach up to 20 liters per square meter in one hour in Aragonese provinces such as Teruel and Zaragoza, especially in areas such as Albarracín, Jiloca, Gúdar and Maestrazgo (Teruel) or Ibérica, Zaragoza and the banks of the Ebro, 15 liters per square meter will be collected in one hour in the Alcarria and the mountains of Cuenca and Guadalajara or in the Iberian region of Soria (Castile-La Mancha).
Likewise, the rainfall levels will be of this intensity in Castilla y León, in the central system of Segovia, in Ibérica and in the region of Treviño in Burgos, in the Sierra Cantabria on the slopes of León and Palencia.
It will also rain intensely in the Community of Madrid, with accumulations of 15 liters per square meter in one hour, as well as in the Basque Country, in the plain and in the Rioja de Álava, in La Rioja, on the banks of the Ebro and the Iberian area. The rains will also fall with this intensity in the Picos de Europa and in the Sierra de Asturias as well as in Liébana (Cantabria) or in the Villaverde Valley and in Cantabria del Ebro.

– GALICIA: Mists and probable scattered fogs in the interior mountainous areas; cloudy, with light precipitation probable in the Mariña de Lugo and the possibility of some scattered showers or occasional thunderstorms in the interior mountainous areas. – CANTABRIA: Haze and likely patchy fog in the higher interior areas. Cloudy with evolving clouds in the interior and light precipitation and showers and thunderstorms, which may be locally heavy and accompanied by hail in the interior. Minimum temperatures with slight changes; maximums increasing. Winds light and variable, with more intense gusts in thunderstorm areas.
– BASQUE COUNTRY: Mists and probable scattered fogs in the high areas of the interior. Cloudy and overcast, with showers and thunderstorms in the far east that can be repeated in Alava, where they can be locally strong and accompanied by hail. Minimum temperatures with slight changes; increase in maximums. Light variable winds with more intense gusts in stormy areas.
– CASTILE AND LEON: Cloudy periods with evolving cloudiness, with probability of showers and thunderstorms, which may be locally strong and accompanied by hail. Minimum temperatures slightly decreasing and maximum temperatures slightly increasing in the south, without change in the north. North-easterly or variable winds.
– NAVARRE: Mists and likely scattered fogs in the high areas of the northern half. Cloudy or overcast, with evolving clouds and locally heavy showers and thunderstorms in the eastern half that may be repeated, less intense and frequent throughout the community. Minimum temperatures with slight changes; maximums on the descent or with slight changes. Winds light and variable with intense gusts in the event of a storm.
– LA RIOJA: Cloudy periods, with evolving cloudiness and thunderstorms, which may be locally heavy. Temperatures unchanged or slightly decreasing. Light variable winds.
-ARAGON: cloudy passages, with probable showers and thunderstorms in the northeast quadrant, which could be locally strong and accompanied by hail; In the afternoon they are expected in any area, probably strong in the Iberian system and not excluded in the points of the Ebro depression. Light variable wind.
– CATALONIA: Cloudy periods, with probable showers sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms in the western Pyrenees, without being excluded in other parts of the western band. Temperatures slightly lower or unchanged. Light variable wind, tending towards a southerly component and with intervals of moderate intensity in the Ampurdán.

– MADRID COMMUNITY: Cloudy, with cloud intervals tending to scattered, slightly cloudy cloudiness. Probable showers and weak or moderate thunderstorms, without excluding that they are locally strong and that they repeat in a weaker form. Mist likely. Minimum temperatures with slight changes; maximums slightly rising. Light wind.
– CASTILE-LA MANCHA: cloudy or with cloudy intervals of clouds and cloudiness of diurnal evolution. Probably showers and weak or moderate thunderstorms, without excluding that they can be locally strong. Morning fog banks likely in the high areas of the Iberian system. Mist possible. Temperatures unchanged or slightly decreasing. Light wind with moderate intervals and variable light.
– VALENCIAN COMMUNITY: cloudy, tending to cloudy intervals. Mist likely in the southern half. Showers likely sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, without excluding that they are locally heavy in the interior of the northern half. Temperatures with little change. Moderate and light wind.
– REGION OF MURCIA: Cloudy periods, with a predominance of medium and high clouds, without excluding occasional showers. Powder in suspension. Temperatures unchanged, locally maximum decreasing inland. Winds of easterly component, weak inland and moderate on the coast.
– BALEARIC ISLANDS: Cloudy periods, with a predominance of medium and high clouds, with a low probability of some light, occasional and isolated precipitation accompanied by mud. Temperatures increase slightly. Light to moderate wind from the east and northeast with windy intervals.
– ANDALUSIA: Cloudy passages in the eastern half, without excluding scattered showers, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms. A little cloudy for the rest. Powder in suspension. Minimum temperatures slightly decreasing or unchanged; maximums without changes or increase in the rest. Light and variable winds, except moderate easterly winds in the area of the strait and in Almería, with strong intervals.
– CANARY ISLANDS: Cloudy periods, with a predominance of cloudy skies in the north of the islands of greater relief, with probable light and occasional rains, especially in the Midlands.
