AEMET warns of a rise in minimum and maximum temperatures this Tuesday

This Tuesday, the weather will be stable in the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, with an increase in temperatures in the northeastern half of the peninsula and the north of the Balearic Islands, and in the inland areas of the southern half, where temperatures will exceed 35 degrees and even 38 in points of the Guadalquivir, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) on its website.

Low morning cloudiness is expected only in western Galicia, eastern Cantabrian Sea and coastal areas of Catalonia and southeastern interior, with likely mists and fog patches; and low probability of occasional showers and storms in the eastern Pyrenees and Iberian Peninsula and in the southeastern mountain ranges, somewhat more likely around the Sierra Nevada.

Cloudiness will be more compact in the Strait and Alborán, without ruling out some light and scattered rains in the Strait and Melilla. Light cloudy passages in the north of the Canary Islands and medium and high in the rest, without ruling out showers, even thunderstorms, in the interior of Tenerife; with descending maximums, minimums with little change and moderate trade winds. Light fogs in the Canary Islands and in the south of the peninsula are also not ruled out.

Maximum temperatures will increase in the north-eastern half of the peninsula and in the north of the Balearic Islands, locally notable in the Alto Ebro and with decreases in the west of the peninsula.

It is expected to exceed 35 degrees in large areas of the interior of the southern half of the peninsula, without excluding these values in the depressions of the northeast and on the northern plateau, and without excluding that it reaches 38 at the points of the Guadalquivir, while the minimum temperatures will increase in the northern half, without registering major changes in the rest.

Southerly and easterly winds will predominate on the Mediterranean side of the peninsula and in the Balearic Islands, with northerly winds blowing first over the Ampurdán and the north of the archipelago; the eastern component rolling westwards in the Cantabrian Sea, and the western component predominating in the rest.
