Aemet warns of intense rain and 8ºC less in these areas

Del Campo explained that the weather in Spain in the middle of next week will be marked by the influence of Atlantic stormsone of them being made up of the remains of the Tropical Cyclone Kirk which will have already lost its tropical characteristics. In addition to rain, it will leave strong or very strong wind gusts in the coastal and mountainous areas of the north and east of the peninsular territory.

Regarding temperatures, the values ​​will drop significantly on Tuesday in the east and will increase on Wednesday in almost the entire country. In places like Córdoba, the temperature will rise from 34ºC on Sunday to 26ºC on Wednesday, a drop of 8ºC less. The Canary Islands would be left behind, with increases predominating.

According to Aemet, it is expected in the middle of next week “Atlantic circulation in the peninsulawith the passage of fronts”. There is a possibility of precipitation in large areas of the Atlantic slope and the Pyrenees, although it will continue to be more likely in Galicia, elevated areas of the Meseta and the Pyrenees. Intense westerly winds will dominate in the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, with strong intervals and/or very strong gusts likely on the northern coast of Galicia. They can also be present in the Cantabrian Sea and in the mountains of the north and east of the peninsula. Light variable winds will blow over the Canary Islands.
