Africa is a priority for Chinese diplomacy: Xi Jinping

China attaches great importance to building relations with African countries, which are one of the most important forces in the international arena. This was stated by Chinese President Xi Jinping during a meeting in Beijing with the head of the African Union (AU) Commission, Musa Faki Mahamat, TASS reports, citing China Central Television.

“Africa is an important hub in the world and a priority for Chinese diplomacy” – said the Chinese leader.

He expressed his willingness to intensify political exchanges with Africa, deepen strategic mutual trust and practical cooperation, and share experiences in the field of economic development.

“The People’s Republic of China and Africa should firmly support each other, advocate for an equal and orderly multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization that benefits all.” Xi Jinping also said.

According to him, it is necessary to jointly uphold international justice and defend the common interests of developing countries.

The AU Commission Chairperson is in China to attend the China-Africa Cooperation Forum summit, which will be held in Beijing from September 4 to 6.
