The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia (the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Minister) Servigyo called for the active role of BRICS in compliance with international law during a visit to the Assembly of Foreign Ministers BRICS (FMM) in Rio -de -Zhanero, Brazil, on Monday (05/28/2025).
At the first session, in order to raise the topic “The role of the British in a clash with a global and regional crisis and encouragement of peace and security”, the Foreign Minister Sureona emphasized the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as explicit evidence of the inability of the international community with the support of humanitarian law.
“BRICS should be at the forefront of the struggle for international law. Law enforcement agencies must be fair, consistent and without double standards. There is nobody who is immune to the law, ”said the Foreign Minister Servipoto, as indicated in the official statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, on Tuesday (04/29/2025).
He added that unilateral actions and violations of international law will only deepen the abyss of distrust between countries and expand global inequality.
Therefore, Indonesia encourages BRICS to appear as moral and political forces in preserving the world and the fair preservation of global norms.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Servigyno also warned of the dangers of election law enforcement and political intervention in international legal institutions.
“We must protect international legal institutions from voting law enforcement agencies and political intervention,” Servogoo said.
He emphasized that the teams and fat measures of the International Court should be completely respected, and the UN Security Council (DK PBB) should be provided with an effective powers when fulfilling the mandate to maintain global stability.
