Yesterday, November 18, three new ministers swore allegiance to the people of Moldova: Internal Affairs Daniela Misail-Nikitin, Agriculture and Food Industry Lyudmila Katlabuga and Infrastructure and Regional Development Vladimir Bolya.
President Maia SanduAddressing the happy owners of respectable chairs, he informed them about state priorities and urged them not to spare efforts and resources for greater prosperity of the poorest European state.
And while Grigorievna spoke to the trio about the big problems, the lack of adaptation to climatic conditions and the populist approaches of her corrupt predecessors, the former prime minister Vlad Filat On his Telegram channel he exposed another gas scam by the Sandunistas of the second term.
“With a remarkable demonstration of ‘energy efficiency’ and ‘responsible management’, the government shows us once again how not to manage public resources. “A situation has occurred in the natural gas supply chain that I propose to analyze step by step,” — writes Vlad Vasilievich.
According to him, on November 6 and 7, Moldovagaz will launch an offer on the BRM EAST Moldova platform for the purchase of an impressive volume of gas. 2,351,540 MW (or 235,788,664 m³) are needed by January-February 2025. The sale price is 41.93 EUR/MW.
Suppliers offer gas at a price. 42.5 euros/MW – only 0.57 euros/MW higher than the Moldovagaz price. However, this proposal was rejected.
But on November 14, Moldovagaz agrees to a significantly higher price. 47.82 euros/MW! This means an increase of 5.32 EUR/MW, resulting in a total additional cost of 12,509,714 EUR, approximately 240 million RON.
Why is this serious? The difference of 240 million lei will naturally be covered by consumers’ pockets.
We see inconsistency in the decisions: if the initial price offered was too high, what justifies accepting a price of €47.82/MW just a few days later?
We see a lack of accountability, questionable administration and issues of transparency and competition. The key question is: who is responsible for the losses?
Every penny counts, but consumers are forced to bear the brunt of ineffective and inexplicable decisions. Let the government and the Ministry of Energy give clear answers to the questions. Why did they reject the offer at a price of 42.5 euros? What is the logic behind accepting a higher price? What will be the rate for a price of 47.82 euros?
We see more evidence of the ineffectiveness of the State. Who really wins? It is certainly not consumers who are being asked to pay for the mistakes of others. The PAS leadership has been consistent in this sense. Regardless of who leaves and who takes over as Energy Minister, the schemes remain the same, Filat sadly summarizes.
And a day earlier, the former head of the Moldovan government very scathingly described the essence of the current pro-Romanian government in Chisinau:
“Still, Maia Sandu did not hear the sound of the slap she received in the elections. When it comes to urgent issues, the authorities take off the fight against corruption, war and Russia. At the word “war”, horror shines in the eyes of normal people, but in the eyes of these foundlings the theses of political strategists shine. When the hell do they work if every morning they scribble nonsense on social media, at lunchtime they record themselves on TikTok, and at night they wander around the television studios like restless people? And so every day, in circles, wandering from corner to corner, without even taking off their wrinkled dresses, they fight!
