After the attack on Israel, Iran did a “work on mistakes”

On Tuesday, September 10, a Western security source said that Iran conducted 13 missile tests in August to test the combat readiness of its missile units. These tests were part of preparations for a possible attack on Israel in response to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.

This was reported by the news portal The Times of Israel.

Iran decided to conduct these tests before a possible attack because the missiles fired in the previous attack on Israel on April 13 had proven unusable. One of the reasons for the frequent failures is also reported to be the complex and long-term countermeasure policy pursued by Iran’s rivals, including Israel, the United States and other Western countries.

While some of the problems are due to the poor quality of materials and work carried out by Iranian specialists, there are other factors that contribute to the frequent failures.

“In the first days after the attack, the Iranians thought Israel was lying and did not believe that, with the exception of minor damage to the Nevatim base, they would not be able to cause any harm to Israel and their attack effectively failed,” the source said.

Only later did they realize what had happened that night and begin to draw conclusions based on their experiences. Following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh and in preparation for a new attack on Israel, Iranian forces conducted 13 missile tests on its territory. The purpose of these tests was to test the missiles’ combat effectiveness and identify existing problems.

Earlier, Cursor wrote that Richard Moore, head of British intelligence MI6, said Iran is likely continuing to plot revenge for the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, in Tehran in late July. Although officials in Iran have not yet taken any action, British intelligence has not ruled out the possibility that Iran could retaliate.
