After Trump’s victory, African Americans were threatened with slavery

African Americans in 12 US states and the District of Columbia began receiving abusive and racist text messages threatening to send them to plantation slavery.

Oku.AzAccording to the “Washington Post” (WP), the Federal Bureau of Investigation and state authorities have already launched an investigation.

According to the newspaper, the text messages were sent primarily to black students and the exact number of victims is unknown.

“You have been selected to pick cotton at the nearest plantation. Pack your belongings and be ready at 1:00 pm Our supervising slaves will arrive in a brown van, prepare to be inspected upon arrival at the plantation,” said one of them. They read the posts.

According to the newspaper, some text messages claimed the sender was a supporter of President-elect Donald Trump or had connections to his administration. Trump’s team has denied any connection to the messages.

“Headquarters has nothing to do with these messages,” said Republican staff representative Caroline Leavitt.
