This Monday was the first day of Marc Marquez with the Ducati. His first interviews with Davide Tardozzi, head of the brand, before riding this Tuesday on the Montmeló circuit. This will be the big battle of next year in MotoGP: the aforementioned Marc against a Pecco Bagnaia who won two world championships with this bike.
And the ex-pilot Jorge Lorenzotriple champion of the premier category, considers them very equal. So much so that only the age difference between the two could make the difference.
He said on ‘Sky Sports’: “It will be difficult. The good news is that Pecco seems to have a very calm and simple character.. Márquez is perhaps a little more “killer”, and that helps. But in terms of competitiveness and speed, they will be very balanced. »
“Age will be a factor, as Pecco is younger and Marc will be 32 next year.which makes things more complicated,” explains the former pilot.
When asked if Marc will get back this deadly version he showed at Honda, Jorge hopes so: “Let’s hope so, because it’s really a phenomenon. “It’s a shame about this accident in 2020, which in my opinion continues to affect their results.”
This Tuesday, Marc will ride next year’s Ducati for the first time: the GP25. This will be his first contact before attempting a new assault on the MotoGP title. Courtesy of Pecco, of course.
