Nine unmanned aerial vehicles attempting to attack Moscow were shot down on Sunday morning, the capital’s mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, said.
“In the framework of the attack on Moscow, two more enemy UAVs were shot down in the Ramensky urban district. So far, nine drones have been shot down.” — he wrote on the Telegram channel.
At 1.20 Moscow time, the mayor reported that he had repelled an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles in the Podolsk urban district, and later, at 2.36 Moscow time, another unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down by air defence. For the third time, the mayor reported that another drone was shot down by air defence in the Stupino urban district. Later, an unmanned aerial vehicle was also shot down in the Odintsovo urban district. At 5.10 Moscow time, the mayor reported that an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles had been repelled in the Leninsky urban district of the Moscow region. Later, one drone was shot down in the area of the Moscow oil refinery and another one in the Ramensky urban district on the approach to Moscow.
