“Our negotiating team is already in the district of Columbia. This morning, our negotiation team, which will continue the discussion, is already in the district of Colombia, and the coordination Minister of Economics is on the way from Rio (Brazil) to the District of Colombia.
He said that the Donald Trump government still provided Indonesia space for imported tariffs. Moreover, the initial term given by Trump to Indonesia for negotiations on imported tariffs ended on July 9, 2025.
In addition, Trump also announced that the 32 percent tariff policy for Indonesia will begin on August 1, 2025. Thus, the government of Indonesia still has the opportunity to agree.
“In the last statement given by President Trump, he was commented on August 1. This means that he returned time to provide a place to extend the discussion and negotiations, ”Hassan said.
“And in the letter, President Trump also stated that there is still the opportunity to talk about it to be reduced,” he continued.
